An original acrylic on a 36" x 24" x .5"D gallery wrapped canvas, signed on the lower right front and on the back, painted on the sides, wire, ready to hang or it can be framed. Created & copyrighted in 2016. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and Artist Bio.
The trees were done with a palette knife for some texture. A contemporary semi-abstract. #2 in my Land Series. #1 is "The Stand" which is a diptych. #3 is "The Great Divide".
Carol has been a professional artist for over fifty years, mastering calligraphy, watercolors and now acrylics. She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. Carol is a realist so she paints what she sees in her particular style. She loves nature and enjoys painting flowers, landscapes and some abstracts. She applies a lot of layering in her paintings no matter the subject matter.
