SOLD An original acrylic on a 30" x 24" x .5" gallery wrapped canvas, painted on the sides, signed front and back, wire on the back, ready to hang. The centers of the two flowers are done in heavy dots of paint for texture.
My purpose for this painting is to show even if you are behind or face conflict, you must rise above it all to succeed.
Carol has been a professional artist for over fifty years, mastering calligraphy, watercolors and now acrylics. She studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and took many private classes but considers herself to be a self taught artist. Using lots of detail, bright and bold colors and sometimes a touch of humor, has won her many awards. She continues to win awards today. She has been published and has a painting in the Postal Museum of the Smithsonian. Carol is a realist so she paints what she sees in her particular style. She loves nature and enjoys painting flowers, landscapes and some abstracts. She applies a lot of layering in her paintings no matter the subject matter.
